• 오류 분류 기준  
  • 심각 : 문서 해석(parsing)에 대한 정보가 없거나 문서 전체를 해석하는데 심각한 오류가 발생할 수 있는 경우  
  • 위험 : 문서의 일부 요소와 속성을 해석하는데 오류가 발생할 수 있는 경우  
• 보통 : 문법적으로는 오류이지만 브라우저의 오류 방지 기능으로 보완될 수 있는 경우

  종결되지 않은 주석 : 주석 내부에서 엔티티의 끝 발견

• 38: literal is missing closing delimiter

  리터럴의 구분자를 닫지 않음

• 47: end of document in prolog

  프롤로그에서 문장의 끝

• 120: normalized length of attribute value literal must not exceed LITLEN (X); length was Y

  속성 값 리터럴의 표준 길이가 LITLEN를 (X)를 초과할 수 없음. 길이는 Y.

• 137: invalid comment declaration: found character X outside comment but inside comment declaration

  부적절한 주석 선언 : 주석 선언 안이지만 주석 바깥에서 문자 X가 발견됨  

• 139: non SGML character number X

  비 SGML 문자수 X  

• 187: no document type declaration; will parse without validation

• 25: general entity X not defined and no default entity

  일반 개체 X가 정의되지 않았고, 기본 개체가 아닐 경우

• 63: character data is not allowed here

  문자 데이터가 여기서는 허용되지 않음

• 82: an attribute value must be a literal unless it contains only name characters

  단지 이름 문자가 포함할 경우 외에는 속성값은 리터럴이 되어야 함  

• 105: an attribute specification must start with a name or name token

  속성 명세는 이름 또는 이름 토큰을 사용하여 시작하여야 함  

• 107: the name and VI delimiter can be omitted from an attribute specification only if SHORTTAG YES is specified

  이름과 VI 구분자(=)는 SHORTTAG YES가 정의되었을 때만 속성 명세로부터 생략될 수 있음  

• 111: an attribute value literal can occur in an attribute specification list only after a VI delimiter

  속성값 리터럴은 VI 구분기호(=) 뒤에 속성 명세 리스트 내에서만 발생 할 수 있음

• 325: reference to entity X for which no system identifier could be generated

  속성 값 내에서 외부 개체를 참조한 경우  

• 404: character X is the first character of a delimiter but occurred as data

  문자 X가 구분자의 첫 번째 문자이나 데이터로써 발생된 경우

※ 이 목록에 포함되지 않는 오류는 모두 「보통」으로 분류함

※ HTML5의 경우에는 2012. 8월 현재 W3C의 표준작업이 종료되지 않아 오류목록이 확정되지 않았음. 따라서 모두 「보통」으로 분류함
